Sublimation vs DTF: Which Is Right For You?
Two of our most-requested printing methods compared — durability, fabric, color pop, and cost.
Sublimation works by turning ink into gas and fusing it INTO the material — that's why it never cracks or fades, and the print is part of the fabric.
DTF (Direct-to-Film) prints ink onto a film, then heat-transfers it onto fabric. The result is a soft, stretchy print that works on basically any material — including cotton, blends, and dark colors.
Rule of thumb: light polyester? Sublimation. Cotton or dark colors? DTF.
